Poll Result: Iwo Electorate Overturns Ambo Endorsement; Adeleke Takes Oluwo’s Unit

The much-publicised endorsement of the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, by the Oluwo of Iwo has suffered a significant political reality check, as the people of Iwo have demonstrated that political endorsements from individuals, no matter how influential, cannot replace the independent will of the electorate.

In a striking development during the Osun State Governorship Election, Governor Ademola Adeleke emerged victorious at the polling unit associated with the Oluwo of Iwo.
That result carries a powerful political message.
It reminds everyone that the ballot belongs to the people.
