Osun Accord Alleges Secret Plot by MC Oluomo, APC to Incite Motor Park Violence

● Tasks IGP to Call MC Oluomo to Order

The Osun state Chapter of Accord has accused the factional National chairman of NURTW, MC Oluomo and certain elements within Osun APC of plotting a violent take over of motor parks in Osun state to foment a statewide breakdown of law and order.

Reacting to credible reports from various motor parks, the party specifically mentioned MC Oluomo as the mastermind of the violent plot using his surrogate, Asirii Eniba and certain disgruntled elements within the state APC.

The party recalled that while Mr Oluomo had illegally issued new certificate of leadership to Asiri Eniba at a time the tenure of the incumbent executive were yet to lapse, he is again encouraging Asiri Eniba to embark on violent actions across the motor parks to frustrate the efforts of the state government to put in place a park management system.

While calling on the Presidency and the Inspector General of Police to call MC Oluomo to order, the party warned that the NURTW chief will be held accountable for any breakdown of law and order in the state.

According to the party, Governor Adeleke has taken the right decision by suspending the operations of NURTW across the motor parks and by announcing imminent creation of state park management system, narrating that the government decision was designed to stop factional warfare in the wake of the killing of Mr Lekan Ajagungbade.

The threat of factional warfare is still very on ground, hence the strong support of all and sundry for the creation of a park management system which the state governor will announce in due course.

We therefore strongly frown at the illegal and violent activities of Mr Asiri Eniba supported by Mr MC Oluomo as a remant of pre-election violence in Osun state which should stop without further delay.

We commend the Commissioner of Police for his intervention to maintain peace and we further charge him and other security agencies to enforce the directive of Mr Governor that all NURTW factions should vacate the motor parks.

The security agencies are also enjoined to immediately secure all the motor parks to prevent any factional take over and nip in the bud another round of factional NURTW warfare in Osun state.

Signed:
Pastor Victor Akande,
State Chairman,
Osun State Accord.
