Governor Adeleke Compensates Victims of Gun Attacks by AMBO Thugs

Governor Ademola Adeleke today shared compensation packages for the seven victims of gunshot attacks by thugs affiliated to the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC).

The victims receiving treatment at the emergency ward of the Osun State University Teaching Hospital were sprayed with bullets by AMBO thugs at Akoda, Aisu junction and Owode on Monday.

The governor was represented at the package sharing visits by the duo of the Commissioner for Information, Hon Kolapo Alimi and the Spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed.

The victims again recounted their experience and directly identified the AMBO branded vehicles as well as Asiri Eniba as the leader of the attacking thugs.

Governor Adeleke reiterated his commiseration with the victims in the presence of their family members, calling on the police to arrest and prosecute those responsible for the attacks.

“This violent assault on Osun people should not be swept under the carpet. The suspects who are widely known must be brought to Justice”, the governor was quoted as saying in his message to the victims.

The Chief Medical Director, Babatunde Afolabi confirmed that all the victims suffered gunshot wounds and that operations are being performed to remove bullets from their bodies.

The seven victims are Sanusi Saliu, Taofeek Saka, Lawal Akindele Habeeb, Adeyemi Taoheed, Monday Fidelis, Ramoni kamolideen and Kamar Aola.
