Celebrating Unity: IBK Thanks Gov. Adeleke and Party Leaders for Support in Osun East

The Accord Senatorial Consensus Candidate for Osun East in the forthcoming 2027 National Assembly election, Hon. Fadipe Ibukun Ishola (IBK), has expressed profound gratitude to God Almighty, Governor Ademola Adeleke, eminent leaders, stakeholders, party faithful, and the good people of Osun East for the overwhelming support and confidence reposed in him.

Hon. Fadipe, the immediate past Chairman of the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), who emerged as the unanimously ratified consensus candidate of the Accord political family in Osun East, described the development as a collective victory for progress, unity, and the shared aspiration for a better future for the people of the district.

In his appreciation message, IBK said:

“First and foremost, I return all glory, honour and adoration to God Almighty Whose grace, mercy and divine favour made this moment possible. To Him alone be all the praise forever.

“I deeply appreciate the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Senator Ademola Adeleke, for his support, encouragement, leadership and commitment throughout this journey.

“My profound gratitude goes to my Royal fathers, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II the Ọọni of Ìfẹ, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haasrup Ajimoko III the Ọwá Obòkun of Ijesaland and all other traditional Chiefs within Ife-Ijesa Senatorial District.

“My sincere appreciation also goes to the overall leader of our political structure in Osun East, Professor Wale Oladipupo, for his fatherly guidance, steadfast leadership and invaluable role in this process.

“I equally acknowledge and appreciate my leader and Egbon, Hon. Sunday Bisi; Osun State Deputy Governor, His Excellency Prince Kola Adewusi, Osun State Chief of Staff Ahlaji Kazeem Akinleye, my darling Amazon, Chief Mrs Erelu Olusola Obada, our respected father and leader, Hon. Gbenga Onigbogi, the Osun State Accord Chairman, Pastor Victor Akande; the Senatorial leader of our party, Hon. Akindele Famuyide, fondly called Jagu; my lovely political mother, Chief Mrs Emiola Fakeye, Baba Chief Joshua Ogunleye, my brother and friend, Hon. Dosu Babatunde; the Deputy Speaker Hon Akinyode and all other members of the Osun State House of Assembly from Osun East; all duly elected Local Government Chairmen across Osun East, LCDAs chairmen; Accord Chairmen in Osun East; Hon. Ogunfeyitimi, Hon Jola Akintola, Hon Gbenga Fowowe, Hon. Jide Bakare, Baba Lase Longe, Hon Sunday Komolafe, Hon. Fausat Sarumi Adebanjo, and all other notable leaders and stakeholders in Ilesa West and beyond. Thank you all!

Hon. Fadipe further extended his appreciation to ‘IBK’s think thank’ and various support groups and loyal party members, including the media team, Prayer Worrior, youths, women groups, supporters at home and in the diaspora, whose dedication and tireless efforts contributed immensely to the success of the process.

He assured the people of Osun East of purposeful, people-oriented and inclusive leadership, promising never to take their love, trust and support for granted.

IBK also appreciated fellow aspirants who participated in the process, describing the exercise as one driven by shared commitment to the progress of Osun East and the collective interest of the party.

“To all my co-aspirants, I sincerely appreciate your courage, maturity and commitment to the growth of our party and constituency. This is not a time for division, but for unity and collective progress. Indeed, there is no victor and no vanquished.”

Describing his emergence as the beginning of a new chapter, the Senatorial Candidate pledged to champion policies and initiatives that would foster development, empowerment, inclusiveness and sustainable progress across Osun East.

He further called on party leaders, stakeholders, youths, women and supporters to remain united and committed to the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the forthcoming Osun State gubernatorial election scheduled for August 15, 2026.

“The future of our dear state depends on the collective commitment and unity of our people. This is the time for all progressive-minded individuals to stand together and support the continuity of good governance and development in Osun State.”

Hon. Fadipe concluded by praying for divine wisdom, strength and grace to justify the confidence reposed in him and to successfully deliver quality representation to the people of Osun East.
