APC’s Desperate Plot to Discredit Adeleke’s Achievements Through Project Vandalism Must Be Stopped – OSUN ACCORD

The Osun Accord has received credible reports of a disturbing pattern of vandalisation targeting public infrastructure delivered by the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke. These acts are not ordinary criminal activities but appear to be part of a calculated attempt by desperate elements in the opposition APC to undermine and discredit the remarkable achievements of the current administration ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.
Having failed to match the Governor’s impressive record of performance, these elements seem determined to destroy the very projects that are transforming communities across the state in order to create a false impression of government failure.
These acts of sabotage is strongly condemned in the strongest terms and those behind them should know that public infrastructure belongs to the people of Osun State, not to any political party. The destruction of roads, public facilities, streetlights, and other government assets is an attack on the collective interest of our citizens and will not diminish the resolve of Governor Adeleke to continue delivering dividends of democracy to every part of the state.
The security agencies is hereby called on to thoroughly investigate these incidents, identify those responsible regardless of their political affiliation, and ensure they face the full weight of the law.

We hereby urge residents, community leaders, youth groups, and all well-meaning citizens to remain vigilant and take ownership of public assets by promptly reporting any suspicious activities around government projects to the appropriate security agencies.
The people of Osun have witnessed unprecedented infrastructural development under Governor Ademola Adeleke, and no amount of politically motivated vandalism will erase these visible achievements or derail the administration’s commitment to building a more prosperous and secure state for all.
As a ruling party in government, we will ensure proper surveillance of all our projects, including setting up a monitoring team while the ministry of Works has commenced inspection of the site to examine level of sabotage. Together, we must protect our common heritage from those who seek to sacrifice public interest for partisan political gain.
Signed:
Pastor Victor Akande
Chairman, Osun Accord
