Take Me Out of Your Bitterness and Defeat, Ajagungbade Warns Osun APC

A political mobilizer and prominent member of the Accord Party in Osun State, Comr. Olamilekan, popularly known as Emir Ajagungbade, has called on leaders and members of the Osun State APC to desist from dragging his name into issues that have no connection with him in an attempt to cover up their political failures.

Ajagungbade described the repeated mention of his name by APC members in relation to recent security incidents as baseless, malicious, and politically motivated.

He stated that the recent cult-related clash that reportedly claimed the life of one Lexy and other related incidents have absolutely nothing to do with him.

“The APC is only acting out of fear and desperation as it faces growing political rejection. Dragging my name into criminal matters is a futile attempt to divert public attention from its own internal challenges and declining political fortunes.”

He further noted that, to the best of public knowledge, the deceased was allegedly involved in cult-related activities and that the circumstances surrounding his death should be left to law enforcement agencies to investigate without political interference or unfounded accusations.

Ajagungbade urged the Nigeria Police Force to conduct a thorough, professional, and impartial investigation to uncover those truly responsible for the killing and ensure that justice is served.

He warned that he would no longer tolerate attempts to tarnish his reputation through false and defamatory allegations, he cautioned the APC data boys, online bloggers and everyone involved to desist from action that can land them in prison.

“I wish to state unequivocally that I will not hesitate to institute legal action against any individual or group that continues to publish or circulate libelous statements against my person. My name must not be used as a tool for political propaganda or character assassination.”

He called on political actors in the state to embrace issue-based politics and refrain from making reckless allegations capable of undermining peace and the rule of law.

Comr. Olamilekan (Emir Ajagungbade)
