Spokesperson Slams Omigbodun’s Attack on Governor Adeleke as Mere Stunt

Allegation of billboard vandalisation levelled against Governor Ademola Adeleke by one Goke Omigbodun is unfounded and a ploy to seek attention over a failing senatorial ambition.
Governor Adeleke is not contesting for Senate and he is not from Osun Central senatorial district. The governor is too busy with serious state matters to be interested in billboards of a politically insignificant political actor.
Challenges of billboard vandalisation is a regrettable phenomenon for which the governor and his party men are victims now and during the pre-election conflict.
Billboards of the Accord senatorial candidate for Osun central, Hon Ganiyu Asejere were also vandalised at Osogbo and other parts of the senatorial district.

Candidates are now devising ways of securing their billboards especially as the signage agency has no mandate to stand guide at sites of billboards.
We urge Mr Omigbodun to grow beyond his historical hatred for the governor and avoid dragging the state leadership into a matter it has no hand in.
We affirm that the governor is not involved in any billboard vandalisation. The allegation is baseless and a mere distractive ploy from a bitter politician.
Signed:
Mallam Olawale Rasheed,
Spokesperson to the State Governor.
