Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Outstanding Performance Has Exposed Years of All Progressives Congress Incompetence and Waste in Osun State.

I watched with disbelief as the Osun APC Campaign Spokesperson faltered on live television, unable to present even the faintest outline of an agenda to the people of Osun State, unable to justify their quest for a return to power beyond a desperate and unrestrained appetite for control. When a party cannot articulate a vision, it is often because its only programme is a calculated return to the treasury.
These are the same political actors who squandered the resources of Osun State, mortgaging the future of the people, feasting on public wealth while plunging the state into a suffocating debt crisis. They governed without restraint and exited without honour. They were rejected by an exhausted people who showed them the way out through the front door of democracy.
Having watched the interview, it is my conclusion that the All Progressives Congress in Osun State is politically diminished, stranded, and stripped of relevance. They seek a comeback not to serve Osun, but to resurrect a failed order that the people have already buried. What they call a comeback, the people remember as a relapse.
Remi Omowaiye, an Ijesa son, served as Commissioner for Works under Gboyega Oyetola, yet remains unable to point to a single transformational project delivered for Ilesa during his tenure. Not one. Today, he traverses the dualised road from Palace Roundabout to Brewery Junction constructed under Governor Ademola Adeleke, benefiting from the very governance his party seeks to disparage.

I sympathize with Remi Omowaiye on his difficult task. No one can defend the APC in Osun State and not sound ridiculous. When next anyone sees Remi Omowaiye and Bola Oyebamiji, just look at them in the face, you will see two not so bright followers of Gboyega Oyetola. When you buy one, you get the other free.
Nothing captures the contradiction of the APC more than this. They criticise progress while driving on it. They attack performance while standing on its evidence. They deride results because they cannot reproduce them. Let it be clear. Osun State is not a laboratory for recycled political failures. It is not a rehabilitation centre for rejected politicians. It is not an inheritance to be reclaimed by those who squandered its opportunities.
In only three years, Governor Ademola Adeleke has transformed Osun State, advancing infrastructure across the state and redirecting public resources toward the genuine needs of the people. Roads are being built. Systems are being restored. Confidence is returning. Governance has regained meaning. This is not spin. This is measurable performance.
And this is what unsettles the Osun APC. Because the success of Governor Ademola Adeleke has not merely challenged them. It has unmasked them. It has rendered years of excuses hollow and indefensible. It has converted their legacy into a standing indictment. Performance has become their greatest vulnerability.

So when the APC asks to return to power, the people are compelled to ask. Return to what. Return to debt. Return to stagnation. Return to recycled failure. Return to a past the people have already rejected. Power is not a revolving door for failed leadership.
Osun is moving forward with clarity and conviction. The people are not prepared to exchange progress for regression. Not now. Not again. Not ever. The future cannot be negotiated backward.
