Fuel Relief for Okada Riders Sparks Grassroots Support in Ifedayo

It was a day of relief and renewed hope for commercial motorcycle riders yesterday across Ifedayo Local Government as the founder of the Olu Janet Political Movement, Comrade Olajide Samuel Abiodun (Olu Janet) distributed free fuel palliatives to commercial motorcycle riders across Ifedayo Local Government.

Across Oke Ila Orangun, Ora Igbomina, and Less City, over 60 Okada riders benefited from the palliative, which was distributed at Oduwoye Filling Station, Steadfast Filling Station, and Toybim Filling Station to easing the burden of rising fuel costs on their daily operations.

Speaking during the exercise, Comrade did not just hand out fuel to the beneficiaries. He connected with them. He spoke about the realities they face on the road every day and tied it to what he described as the ongoing efforts of Ademola Adeleke to improve lives across the state, especially in Ifedayo.

From better roads to healthcare and social support, he reminded them of changes they can see and feel.

He urged them to stand by the governor in the August 15 election, stressing that continuity would mean more progress for communities like theirs.

More importantly, he encouraged them to remain vigilant and committed to protecting their votes.

The event drew the presence of key political stakeholders and party leaders, including the Ifedayo Local Government PDP Chairman, Hon Oyinlola Adeyemi; the Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Adeyemi Adeyinka; and the Media Aide to the Member of the House of Representatives, Hon Debo Kolawole. Also in attendance was Hon Abioye, alongside ward executives from across the local government.

They praised Comrade Olu Janet for staying connected to the grassroots and for showing consistent support for the Adeleke administration.

They described the palliative initiative as timely and impactful, noting that it reflects a deep understanding of the challenges faced by local transport operators.

Beneficiaries of the program expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a relief in the face of economic pressures, and many pledged continued support for Governor Adeleke’s second-term bid.
