EDE MUSLIM COUNCIL CONGRATULATES ADELEKE, TIMI OF EDELAND, ON GOVERNOR’S RE-ELECTION
The Ede Muslim Council, on behalf of the entire Muslim Ummah of Edeland, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Governor Ademola Adeleke and His Royal Majesty, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa I, Timi of Edeland, following the re-election of his son, His Excellency, Governor Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke, Asiwaju of Edeland, as the Executive Governor of Osun State.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Council, Engr. Dr. Musbaudeen Olatunde Idris, the Council expressed profound joy and gratitude to Allah for the victory.
The Council described the victory as a blessing from Allah and a manifestation of the trust the people of Osun State have reposed in the Governor’s leadership and commitment to light up Osun State.
The Council urged the Governor to be guided by the word of Allah in Qur’an 4:58 which says “…indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice” and the hadith of the Prophet that _”Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you is responsible for his flock” as contained in Sahih al-Bukhari, 893.
With this sacred trust, we admonish Your Excellency to continue your good work with sincerity, justice, and fear of Allah. Let the “Bulldozer” spirit continue to break barriers of underdevelopment, while the “Imole” continues to shine on every part of Osun State.
Our humble advice:
- Continue your good work in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and workers’ welfare, and let it reach the grassroots.
- Uphold justice and fairness to all, irrespective of religion, tribe, or political affiliation, as commanded by Allah.
- Sustain religious harmony and carry the Ulama and faith leaders along in governance.
- Empower our youths and secure our state, for you shall be asked about your flock on the Day of Judgment.
The Muslim community of Edeland pledges our continuous prayers and support to your administration. We pray that Allah grants you wisdom, sound health, and barakah in this second term so that Imole Osun will shine brighter for the benefit of all.
May Allah make this tenure a source of mercy and progress for Osun State. Ameen.
The Council equally extended its felicitations to the Timi of Edeland, Oba Dr. Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa I, for the electoral victory of his son, the Asiwaju of Edeland, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke.
“Baba, we give glory to Allah for this victory, and we commend your fatherly role, wisdom, and prayers which have continued to foster peace, unity, and progress in Edeland and Osun State at large,” the statement read. “Your support for good governance is a blessing to our land.”
The Council noted that as Imole Osun prepares to commence his second term in November this year, it remains committed to praying for continued harmony between the throne and the government for the development of Edeland and the state.
Prayers for His Royal Majesty
The Council offered prayers for the long life, good health, and continued reign of the Timi on the throne.
“May Allah grant you long life on the throne in good health, and continue to use you as an instrument of peace and progress for Edeland,” Dr. Idris added.
