COUNCIL OF IMAMS AND KHUTOBBAU OF NIGERIA, OSUN STATE CHAPTER CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE ON RE-ELECTION VICTORY
…Commends People of Osun State, Especially the Muslim Ummah, for Peaceful Participation
The Council of Imams and Khutobbau of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter, heartily congratulates His Excellency, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke, Asiwaju of Edeland, on his well-deserved re-election as the Executive Governor of Osun State in the August 15, 2026 Governorship Election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
We also extend our felicitations to the good people of Osun State, and most especially the Muslim Ummah, for their peaceful conduct, high voter turnout, and commitment to democracy during the election.
The victory recorded by the Governor is a manifestation of Allah’s decree and a reflection of the trust the people of Osun State have reposed in his leadership, sincerity, and the people-oriented policies of the Imole administration over the last four years.
As custodians of moral and spiritual guidance, we urge His Excellency to remain steadfast in justice, equity, and service to humanity in accordance with the injunction of Allah in Qur’an 4:58: by upholding justice and fairness in his administration.
We further admonish the Governor to:
- Sustain good governance in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and workers’ welfare, and ensure that its impact reaches the grassroots.
- Uphold religious harmony and continue to carry religious leaders and stakeholders along in the affairs of the state.
- Empower our youths and create more opportunities for peace, security, and prosperity across Osun State.
The Council of Imams and Khutobbau of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter, pledges our continuous prayers and support for the success of this administration. We pray that Almighty Allah grants Your Excellency wisdom, sound health, protection, and barakah in this second term, so that Imole Osun will shine brighter for the benefit of all citizens irrespective of religion or tribe.
We also use this medium to thank the Independent National Electoral Commission, security agencies, and all stakeholders who ensured a peaceful electoral process.
Once again, we say congratulations to His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, and to all the people of Osun State. May Allah make this tenure a source of mercy, progress, and unity for our dear state. Ameen.
