Accord Party Candidates Secure: Adeleke’s Campaign Role Won’t Impact Us, Says Spokesperson

The Spokesperson to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, has assured that the governor’s appointment as Osun State Coordinator of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu/All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council will not affect the electoral chances of Accord Party candidates in the forthcoming elections.
Rasheed said there would be no confusion among voters, stressing that supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not prevent Osun residents from voting for their preferred Accord candidates.
Speaking on Frank Talk, a programme on Rave 91.7FM, Osogbo, he expressed confidence that voters understood their political preferences and would make independent choices at the polls.
He cited the political followership of Accord candidates, including Hon. Bamidele Salam, IBK, Akogun Lere and Asejere, among others, noting that their constituents were familiar with their leadership and would not abandon them because of the governor’s new campaign responsibility.

According to Rasheed, Adeleke’s role as state coordinator of the Tinubu/APC Presidential Campaign Council does not undermine the interests of Accord Party candidates contesting in the forthcoming elections.
He added that the governor would not take any action capable of hurting the interests of the people of Osun State, expressing confidence that his political responsibility at the state level would not disrupt the support base of Accord candidates.
