2027: Tunde Balogun Emerges Consensus Candidate as Ola-Oluwa Accord Unites

In a decisive and defining move that demonstrates unity, fairness, and strategic political direction, the leadership of the Accord Party in Ola-Oluwa Local Government, alongside key stakeholders and committed party faithful, have unanimously endorsed Hon. Tunde Adeniyi Balogun as the party’s consensus candidate for the Osun State House of Assembly seat ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The endorsement, which took place during a well-attended general meeting of the party at Bode-Osi, was led by respected party chieftain, Hon. Mufutau Buremo (popularly known as Gija), alongside other prominent leaders across the wards in the local government.

In their collective resolution, the leaders emphasized the long-standing tradition of zoning and rotational representation within Ola-Oluwa Local Government, stressing that in the interest of equity, justice, and political balance, it is only fair and appropriate that the House of Assembly seat be zoned to Zone B in the forthcoming election.

According to the leadership, the emergence of Hon. Tunde Adeniyi Balogun as the consensus candidate is not only a reflection of this established principle but also a strategic decision rooted in competence, credibility, and grassroots acceptability.

The party leaders outlined Hon. Balogun’s outstanding qualifications, his proven capacity to mobilize and connect with the people, as well as his steadfast commitment to the growth and development of Ola-Oluwa Local Government. They noted that his track record of service, loyalty to the party, and deep understanding of the needs of the people make him the most suitable candidate to fly the party’s flag.
