As the Senate Deputy Minority Leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Akogun Lere Oyewumi has demonstrated a clear, firm vision for public welfare. His effective communication and genuine connection with the grassroots across all ten local governments of the Osun West Senatorial District truly set him apart as a servant-leader.

Senator Oyewumi’s political leadership is rooted in a rare blend of strong moral character and deep emotional intelligence. What stands out most about him is his direct, unmediated relationship with his constituents. He is always accessible. Unlike many who shield themselves behind aides, Senator Oyewumi makes himself directly available to his people, ensuring he listens to their concerns and understands their exact needs firsthand.

Personally, I have learned a great deal from working with him. He is a leader who takes full responsibility for his decisions and actions rather than passing the buck when challenges arise.

Furthermore, his courage and decisiveness have been immense benefits to us. He remains remarkably calm under pressure, making smart, equitable decisions for the greater good of his people; a trait clearly demonstrated during the build-up and aftermath of the recent Osun State governorship election.

Inclusiveness is the bedrock of his service delivery. He treats every individual and community with dignity, working tirelessly to unite the people rather than allowing political differences to divide them. If you observe him closely, you will agree that Akogun Oyewumi is a leader who listens far more than he speaks. He takes the time to truly understand the real-life struggles of everyday people at the grassroots level before making critical decisions.

A representative of this caliber undoubtedly deserves a second term to consolidate his achievements and continue delivering exceptional representation. When a leader serves with such integrity, his vision becomes a guiding light for the people he represents.

As we look ahead to the 2027 general elections, let us throw our weight behind Akogun Lere Oyewumi to continue representing the good people of the Osun West Senatorial District under the platform of the Accord Party.
