Ife South in Rousing Welcome for Gov Adeleke

● Royal Fathers, Community Leaders Endorse Re-Election for Gov Adeleke

Governor Ademola Adeleke today took his campaigns to Garage Olode, Ifetedo and other towns at Ife South local government, repeating his continuous commitment to expanded rural development and infrastructure interconnectivity.

Amidst rousing welcome from residents across the towns and villages, the campaign train was received at Awolowo Town by the Olu of Awolowo town, Oba Yekinni Olayemi Olasoji Omisore and the Olubosin of Ifetedo, Oba Akinola Oyetade Akinrera alongside 90 other kings and 120 Baales, all endorsing the governor and commending his achievements so far.

At the palace of the monarch of Awolowo town, special prayers were offered for the re-election of the governor by adherents of the three major religions while the Olu of Ifetedo reaffirmed his deep loyalty to the governor and the Ooni of Ife contrary to reported rumours.

The governor accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; Director General of the Campaign, Senator Lere Oyewumi; the Deputy Director General of the campaign, Hon Kolapo Alimi; Accord State Chairman, Pastor Victor Akande; chairman campaign publicity committee, Hon Bamidele Salam and other top leaders, promised continuity of good governance.

“Wherever we go in Osun, our good work speaks for us. We touched every local government in terms of infrastructure and other deliverables. We will do more once re-elected”, the governor submitted.

While commissioning a three kilometres road at Ifetedo, the Governor urged Osun people never to allow Osun to go back to the dark past, adding that “we will have a renewed attention to rural areas in terms of electricity connection to Garage Olode.

“Once we are re-elected, we will break the jinx of lack of power supply in this town. Our Ministry of Energy has done all the spade work. The diversion of Osun local government funds slowed down our responses in several sectors.

“Despite the financial and other plots to crush our government by the Osun APC, we succeeded in delivering many mega projects. We will recruit more medical personnel for Osun hospitals”, the governor promised.

Opening medical equipment donated by Yusuf Ali, SAN at Ifetedo, the governor said his second term will witness more recruitment into medical and educational institutions, declaring that his records of achievements validate his seeking re-election.

The Ife South campaign anchored by Hon. Sunday Bisi and attended by the Accord Senatorial candidate for Osun East, Hon. Ibukun Fadipe; Ife Federal Constituency candidate for the Accord, Hon. Tosin Eluwole and other leaders witnessed announcement of a defection to Accord by a prominent APC chieftain from Ifetedo.

“Former Osun West Senatorial aspirant, Peter Ogundeji Apata, Wasiu Atowo-Atomo, Elegunmeje and thousands of their supporters will be defecting to Accord on Wednesday. There is no more credible leaders left in Osun APC”, Hon Bisi told a cheering crowd at Ifetedo.
