Governor Adeleke Receives Unanimous Re-election Endorsement from Atakunmosa East Council of Obas

The Atakunmosa East Local Government Traditional Council has unanimously endorsed the re-election of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, while hosting members of the Imole Campaign Council (TICC) ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
Speaking on behalf of the traditional institution, Oba (Dr.) Richard Adebayo Faforiji, the Alamuye of Amuye-Faforiji, commended Governor Adeleke for his remarkable achievements and people-oriented governance over the last three years.
According to the royal father, the Governor has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to inclusive governance and grassroots development, earning the admiration and confidence of the people. He assured Governor Adeleke of the continued support, prayers and cooperation of the traditional institution.
While appreciating the developmental projects executed by the administration, the monarch praised Governor Adeleke for promoting peace, preserving human dignity and ensuring that his party is shunning political violence despite provocations.

Also speaking, Oba Oyebade Samson Kehinde Oyeleye, the Ogboni of Ipole-Ijesa and Chairman of the Atakunmosa East Local Government Traditional Council who conveyed their unanimous endorsement noted their genuine confidence in Governor Adeleke.
In his words, “Ajanaku kọjá, mo rí nkan fìrì; tá a bá rí erin, ká sọ pé a rí erin.” He explained that the proverb signifies that when greatness is evident, it should be acknowledged.
Responding, His Excellency reaffirmed that his political philosophy is rooted in peace, justice, development and service to the people, emphasizing that politics should never be driven by violence but by the collective desire to improve the lives of citizens.
Governor Adeleke assured the traditional rulers that every ongoing project initiated by his administration would be completed, while many more impactful projects would be initiated during his second term.

“I sincerely appreciate your love, confidence and endorsement. I assure you that, by the grace of God, I will do even more for the people of Atakumosa East, Ijesaland and the entire state when re-elected on August 15, 2026,” the Governor stated.
