The Osun State Command of Man O’ War Nigeria under the leadership of MC. SD Omole has conducted a 37-kilometre endurance trekking exercise from its State Permanent Training Base at Oke D.O., Osogbo, to Ede town, attracting over 500 officers and participants from various security agencies, paramilitary organisations, and national service institutions.

The exercise commenced at approximately 8:00 a.m. at the State Permanent Training Base, Oke D.O., Osogbo, with participants embarking on the demanding journey to Ede town. The exercise was designed to promote physical fitness, mental resilience, discipline, endurance, and inter-agency cooperation among participating personnel.

The event witnessed the participation of personnel from the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Immigration Service, Nigerian Army, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), and other agencies and institutions. Their participation highlighted the collaborative spirit among the organisations and their shared commitment to discipline, service, and professional development.

Governor Ademola Adeleke was represented at the event by Hon. Siyanbola, who conveyed the governor’s appreciation for the contributions of Man O’ War Nigeria to security efforts across Osun State.

In his speech, Governor Adeleke commended the organisation for the commendable work its officers have been carrying out within the security sector throughout the state. He acknowledged the role of Man O’ War in supporting security-related efforts and contributing to the promotion of safety and community wellbeing across Osun.

The governor further expressed his commitment to providing better support for the organisation, offering encouragement to its leadership and members as they continue to discharge their responsibilities. His assurance of improved support was a significant highlight of the event, reflecting the importance of collaboration between the state government and organisations contributing to security and public service.

Other distinguished personalities at the event included the Osun State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Olakolupo; the Oyo State Man O’ War Commander, Alhaji Yekeen Lukman; and the Ogun State Man O’ War Commander, MC A. A. Alimoso.

The hosting command was led by Commander S. D. Omole, the Osun State Man O’ War Commander, alongside Assistant National Commander Ayoade Adekola, the Regional Commander for the South-West region. Their presence reflected the involvement of the organisation’s leadership in an exercise focused on endurance, discipline, and operational preparedness.

The 37-kilometre trek presented participants with a considerable physical challenge, requiring determination, perseverance, and teamwork throughout the journey from Osogbo to Ede. Beyond the physical demands, the exercise provided an opportunity for personnel from different agencies to interact, strengthen professional relationships, and promote mutual understanding.

The participation of officers from the Nigerian Police, military, Immigration Service, Red Cross, NDLEA, NSCDC, NYSC, and other organisations demonstrated the value of collaborative activities in strengthening relationships among institutions with different responsibilities. It also provided a platform for promoting unity and cooperation among personnel committed to service and national development.

For Man O’ War Nigeria, endurance trekking forms part of the broader culture of discipline, physical conditioning, leadership development, and resilience that the organisation seeks to promote among its officers. Bringing together more than 500 participants from different agencies gave the exercise significance beyond an ordinary physical fitness activity.

The presence of government representation, regional leadership, state commanders, and personnel from several agencies further highlighted the importance of partnerships in promoting discipline, service, and coordinated institutional development.

The event marked another occasion for the Osun State Command to demonstrate its commitment to physical preparedness, inter-agency cooperation, and the continued development of its officers. The governor’s commendation and promise of better support also provided an encouraging message to members of the organisation.

With more than 500 officers and participants involved, the 37-kilometre endurance trek from Osogbo to Ede stood as a demonstration of collective effort, physical determination, and cooperation among security agencies, national service personnel, and Man O’ War leadership.

The event concluded with a renewed emphasis on endurance, unity, and the importance of sustained institutional support for organisations contributing to security and community development across Osun State.
