Beyond the Frame 2.0: Igniting the Next Generation of Changemakers

On 14 October, I had the privilege of attending the second edition of Beyond the Frame 2.0 Bootcamp, an impactful youth empowerment initiative organised by Hon. Kazeem Olalekan (HAMKAZ), the Official Photographer to the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

I attended the programme as a representative of the Governor’s Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed (MOR), and had the opportunity to address the young participants drawn from different parts of Osun State and other states across the South-West region.

In my remarks, I encouraged the participants to maximise the knowledge, skills and practical experience acquired during the bootcamp and apply them meaningfully to their chosen careers. I emphasised that the future belongs to young people who are willing to develop their talents, embrace learning opportunities and remain committed to personal and professional growth.

I also commended Hon. Kazeem Olalekan for his commendable commitment to youth development and for extending opportunities to other young people through this initiative. Beyond his professional achievements, his willingness to nurture emerging talents and contribute to the growth of aspiring photographers is worthy of recognition. I encouraged him to sustain the initiative and continue creating platforms through which more young people can discover, develop and pursue their creative potential.

The Beyond the Frame 2.0 Bootcamp has provided an invaluable platform for over 200 young people to access knowledge, creativity, professional connections, inspiration and career opportunities. Initiatives of this nature demonstrate the importance of investing in young people and equipping them with the skills and confidence required to thrive in an increasingly competitive world.

Indeed, young people possess enormous potential to contribute meaningfully to societal development when given the right opportunities, guidance and support. Through purposeful engagement, practical training and sustained mentorship, their talents can be transformed into valuable skills, sustainable careers and innovative solutions to the challenges facing our society.

I commend the organisers for this laudable initiative and urge stakeholders across the public and private sectors to continue supporting programmes that empower young people to realise their aspirations and contribute to building a better future for Osun State and Nigeria at large.
