Adeleke Boosts Education in Ilesa with Six Major Projects Commissioning On Tuesday
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, will on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, commission six major infrastructural projects at the University of Ilesa.

The projects are aimed at improving teaching, learning, research and student welfare at the institution.
According to a statement by the Senior Assistant Registrar (Corporate Services and Information Unit), Tunde Fanowopo, the projects billed for commissioning include: “Remodelled Faculty of Law Annex Building, Remodelled Faculty of Public Health Building.”
Others are: “Remodelled Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences Building, Reconstructed Internal Road Network, Newly Constructed Hostel Building.”

According to the University management, the commissioning marks another milestone in the institution’s infrastructural development and its drive to provide a world-class learning environment.
Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Taiwo Olufemi Asaolu, said the projects reflect the continued support of the Adeleke administration to the growth of the university.
The commissioning is another testament to the remarkable support the University has continued to enjoy from Governor Ademola Adeleke. These projects will strengthen our academic capacity, improve students’ experience and reinforce our position as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing public universities,” Asaolu stated.
The Vice-Chancellor commended the governor for his commitment to education and human capital development in Osun State. He assured that the university community will continue to justify the confidence through excellence in teaching, research, innovation and service.

Professor Asaolu also invited staff, students and members of the public to attend the event and give the governor a rousing welcome in appreciation of his support for the University of Ilesa.
