The record is becoming clearer by the day: leadership with compassion and discipline delivers results. Under the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, Osun State has taken decisive steps to clear the heavy pension and gratuity burdens left behind by previous administrations.
Despite loud claims by the former APC government that settling the backlog was โimpossible,โ Governor Adeleke has proven otherwise with notable action. Within just about two years, his government has paid about โฆ47 billion in pensions and gratuities, bringing long-awaited relief to thousands of retirees who dedicated their lives to the service of our dear state.
This achievement is not only about numbers; it is about restoring dignity to our elderly citizens who once were neglected for years. At a time when many believed the debt crisis created by the past APC administration would cripple the state for decades, Governor Adeleke has chosen responsibility over excuses.
Through prudent management, transparency, and a people-first approach, his administration has steadily cleared the mess and renewed hope for families that once feared their entitlements would never come.
As Osun moves forward, the lesson is clear. The people will not forget those who plunged the state into deep indebtedness and push our senior citizens to unprecedented hardship. Neither will they overlook a leader who has demonstrated commitment to correcting the wrongs of the past.
The good people of Osun understand that progress must be protected, and the path of responsible governance must continue. With the results already visible, the choice before the electorate remains simple: never return the state to those who created the crisis, but stand firmly with the leadership that is fixing it.
Osun is in one accord with Governor Ademola Adeleke.
