‎The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi, has extended warm felicitations to Christians across Lagos East Senatorial District and Nigeria on the occasion of Easter 2026. He congratulated the faithful on the successful completion of the Lenten season, a period of 40 days of fasting, prayer, and reflection, culminating in the celebration of Christ’s resurrection.

‎Senator Oyewumi highlighted the significance of Easter, describing it as a season that reminds humanity that darkness is temporary and light will ultimately prevail, renewing resilience and hope.
