Sam Oyus Resigns As Osun Water Corporation Chairman, Declares Senatorial Ambition In Osun East

Hon. Samuel Olayinka Oyedotun (SAM OYUS), has officially resigned from his position as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Osun State Water Corporation to pursue his senatorial ambition in Osun East Senatorial District.
In a formal resignation letter dated March 26, 2026 and addressed to the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, Hon. Oyedotun expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve under the administration, describing his tenure as both an honour and a privilege.
The letter, which was routed through the Secretary to the State Government, highlighted his contributions to the water sector, noting that significant progress was recorded during his time in office. He commended Governor Adeleke’s visionary leadership and support, which he said enabled the successful execution of impactful projects aimed at improving access to potable pipe-borne water across Osun State.
According to him, the decision to step down was borne out of a desire to answer a “greater call to service,” as he now sets his sights on representing the people of Osun East Senatorial District at the National Assembly. He emphasised that his ambition is driven by a passion for public service and a commitment to contributing more broadly to the development of the state and the nation at large.
Hon. Oyedotun also extended his gratitude to members of the Board, management and staff of the Osun State Water Corporation for their cooperation and dedication throughout his tenure, noting that their collective efforts strengthened service delivery within the agency.
While reaffirming his loyalty and support to the Adeleke-led administration, SAM OYUS assured that his new political pursuit aligns with the broader developmental agenda of the state, pledging to continue serving the people with dedication and integrity if given the mandate.
