Osun 2026: IBK Empowers Ilesa West Youths With #500,000 cash Grants Each, Calls For Unity Behind Governor Adeleke’s Re-election

In his continuous commitment to youth development, poverty reduction, and grassroots economic empowerment, the Chairman of Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and foremost aspirant for the Osun East Senatorial District, Hon. Fadipe Ibukun Ishola (IBK), has once again demonstrated his dedication to the welfare of the people by empowering 15 youths in Ilesa West Local Government with ₦500,000 cash grants each to support and expand their businesses.
The empowerment initiative, which forms part of IBK’s broader agenda to stimulate small-scale entrepreneurship and tackle unemployment, has continued to impact many young people across the constituency.
It will be recalled that in the last 6 month, Hon. Fadipe Ibukun Ishola distributed ₦100,000 cash grants to 50 youths in Ilesa West, while over the past two years, more than 100 artisans and small business owners across Ijesa South Federal Constituency have benefitted from similar empowerment programmes initiated by him. These sustained interventions underscore his belief that empowering young people economically is one of the most effective strategies for building a stable and prosperous society.
Speaking during the presentation of the grants, IBK reaffirmed his commitment to lifting people out of poverty and creating opportunities for the youth to become self-reliant and productive members of society.
According to him, youth empowerment remains a powerful tool in addressing unemployment, social unrest, domestic challenges, and corruption, stressing that when young people are productively engaged, society becomes safer and more prosperous.
“This is our modest contribution to ensuring that our youths are not left behind. When young people are empowered with the resources to build legitimate businesses, they become agents of development rather than victims of unemployment. We must continue to invest in our youths because they are the engine of our future,” IBK stated.
He further urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the grants, revealing that a monitoring mechanism has been put in place to follow up on the businesses for which the funds were requested.
“The data you submitted will guide our follow-up. This support must translate into real growth for your businesses. I therefore encourage you to remain focused, avoid violence, reject social vices, and contribute positively to the peace and development of our communities,” he advised.
Hon. Fadipe Ibukun Ishola also used the occasion to emphasize the importance of unity and collective responsibility in sustaining the ongoing developmental strides of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration in Osun State. He called on the youths and the general public to continue supporting the governor’s people-centered policies and programmes aimed at repositioning the state for greater prosperity.
In his remarks on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Chief Whip of the Osun State House of Assembly and representative of Ilesa West State Constituency, Hon. Olawale Akerele (Water), commended IBK for his consistent commitment to grassroots empowerment and youth development.
Hon. Akerele described IBK as a leader whose actions consistently reflect his passion for the wellbeing of the people, particularly the youth, urging the beneficiaries to use the funds strictly for the purposes for which they were given.
“This gesture is a rare demonstration of leadership that prioritizes the welfare of the people. I urge all beneficiaries to make the best use of this opportunity so that the impact of this intervention will be visible across our communities,” he said.
In an emotional response, the beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Fadipe Ibukun Ishola for the life-changing support, noting that the gesture has renewed their hope and strengthened their belief in purposeful leadership.
They unanimously pledged their continued support for IBK’s senatorial aspiration and reaffirmed their commitment to mobilizing massive grassroots support for the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke, whose administration they described as one that has restored hope and dignity to the people of Osun State.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the beneficiaries and supporters echoed their endorsement with chants of “IBK for Senator or Nothing in Osun East!”
The empowerment initiative further reinforces IBK’s growing reputation as a grassroots-oriented leader whose politics is rooted in service, empowerment, and sustainable development, a vision that aligns strongly with the progressive governance currently being delivered in Osun State.
