Grassroots Media Team Hosts Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi Esq., Reaffirms Commitment to the Re-Election of Governor Ademola Adeleke

The Grassroots Media Team today played host to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi, a distinguished legal luminary, public interest advocate, and frontline House of Representatives aspirant for the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency. Barrister Olajengbesi, an Abuja-based legal practitioner of repute, widely read columnist, and the Convener of the Coalition of Public Interest Lawyers and Advocates in Nigeria, was received with great enthusiasm by members of the team.

The meeting, which marked the Grassroots Media Team’s first official gathering of 2026 and its fourth conference since inception, was held at Imole House, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo. At the meeting, the team once again declared its unwavering commitment to the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke, citing the Governor’s people-centered governance, visible infrastructure development, and transformative policies since assuming office in 2022.

In his address, Barrister Olajengbesi extolled the Grassroots Media Team as a formidable force in grassroots political communication, describing its members as disciplined, strategic, and ideologically grounded advocates of the Imole administration. He applauded their consistency, resilience, and innovative use of social media platforms in amplifying the achievements of Governor Adeleke across communities and beyond Osun State. According to him, the team represents the new face of responsible political engagement driven by conviction rather than convenience.

Renowned for his fearless advocacy, legal brilliance, and unwavering commitment to social justice, Olajengbesi emphasized that the sacrifices and loyalty of the team have not gone unnoticed, assuring members that their dedication would be appropriately recognized and their operational capacity strengthened in due course. He noted that effective grassroots communication remains a critical pillar in sustaining progressive governance.

Speaking further, the senior partner at the Abuja-based law firm, Law Corridor, encouraged members to remain bold, focused, and unshaken in the face of opposition intimidation. He expressed unflinching confidence in the re-election of Governor Adeleke, attributing it to divine backing, the Governor’s uncommon humility, and his pro-people leadership style. Demonstrating rare solidarity, Barrister Olajengbesi pledged robust legal protection for grassroots volunteers, assuring the deployment of additional lawyers to work with the party’s legal team on a pro bono basis whenever the need arises.

In his goodwill remarks, Hon. Adewumi Irekandu, the Honourable Member representing Obokun State Constituency, highlighted the increasing influence of social media in contemporary politics.
