Adeleke Unveils 5-Point Agenda: A New Hope for Youth, Women, and Workers

● Chief of Staff Promises Expanded Good Governance delivery
The recently unveiled five point agenda of Governor Ademola Adeleke is exciting critical segments of Osun population such as youth, women and the workers.
The governor had recently released the new version of his five point agenda which includes integrated youth, women and workers’ welfare and empowerment; infrastructure consolidation for citizens’ social and economic wellbeing; agro-industrial expansion for human development and collective prosperity; affordable, qualitative health and education access; and improved and secured business environment for job creation.
Of all the five point items, number one remains the area of attraction to several segments of the society since the announcement of the agenda. The old number one agenda simply reads “Citizens and workers’ Welfare”.
However, the specific inclusion of youth and women alongside workers in the new number one agenda was widely seen as a response to the demands of the various cohorts of the youth sector for special mention and expansion of attention to the developmental needs of the sector.
Communications received from several youth organisations referenced the good job the administration did in the youth sector between 2022 to 2026 but canvassed addition of youth to the number one agenda as a way to triple support for the youth sector in the second term of Adeleke’s administration.
Some of the youth groups actually drafted areas for inclusion in the detailed manifestoes, proposing that the administration after re-election should lay further emphasis on identified areas between 2026 to 2030.
Aside from the youth groups, activists from the women’s sector have also written several proposals with detailed suggestions on areas needing further attention from the successes already recorded between 2022 and 2026.
A particular women’s group after listing specific accomplishments of the Adeleke administration within the women sector proceeded to recommend women mainstreaming with desks across the ministries and agencies as part of a detailed agenda for the manifestoes.
Commenting on the development, the Chief of Staff to the governor, Hon. Kazeem Akinleye assured youth and women groups in the state that the Adeleke administration will continue its pro – youth and pro-women governance when re-elected on August 15.
According to the CoS, Governor Adeleke of the Accord Party is committed to the expansion of service delivery to youth, women, workers and all segments of the Osun society, promising that the updated manifesto captures the wishes and aspirations of Osun people.
“Osun has witnessed a strong performance of Governor Adeleke in his first term. Our people should expect more good performance, more service delivery and more listening and responses to the wishes of Osun people”, Hon Akinleye was quoted as saying.
